More than 1,000 students, faculty, staff, volunteer leaders, donors and other friends of Ursuline Academy of Dallas gathered today at the school to celebrate the dedication of The French Family Science, Math, and Technology Center – a state-of-the-art learning environment designed to inspire creativity, collaboration, and motivation as the school prepares young women for careers in the sciences, math and world languages.  2009-10 Parent Campaign Begins 10/5/2009 Over the next two years, Ursuline must raise $2.9 million to complete funding for all Campus Renewal projects. Because tuition only covers 86% of the total cost of an Ursuline education, an additional $1 million is also needed each year to meet annual operating costs.

 French Family Center, Music Building Open 9/8/2009 Just over a year in construction, the new 70,000-square-foot French Family Science, Math and Technology Center opened for the start of the school year on September 8. A new music building has also been completed on the west side of campus, adjoining the Ursuline Center for Performing Arts. Campus renewal continues this fall with major renovations for classroom and lab spaces vacated with the move of science classes to the French Family Center.

  Facing the Future 2008-2009 2/18/2009 Comprehensive Campaign Update
This school year, for the first time, Ursuline combined its fundraising needs into a single comprehensive campaign. The Academy has received a very generous initial response from our community to this effort.

 Construction Under the Stars! 9/25/2008 Ursuline hosted a special Groundbreaking Week event for more than 200 project supporters to showcase student projects in Science, Math, Technology, Computer Science and World Languages. The evening also featured a preview of the cleared construction site and remarks by Sr. Margaret Ann Moser, Don Hanratty, Karen Livesay Shuford '66, Joe Coleman, and students Alex Juarez ’10 and Natalie Riemer ’10.

 French Family Center Groundbreaking 9/23/2008 More than 1000 students, faculty and staff, and friends of Ursuline Academy attended a school-wide celebration marking the official groundbreaking of the French Family Science, Math, and Technology Center on Tuesday, September 23. The program featured remarks by Elaine French, Sr. Margaret Ann Moser, Dr. John McConnell, Don Hanratty, and Ursuline senior Sarah Fitgerald.

 “Project Launch” Reception Held at Crescent Court 5/20/2008 Launch of The French Family Science, Math, and Technology Center building project was celebrated at a special reception on May 20 at the Crescent Court in Dallas. Guests included major donors to the Facing the Future Capital Campaign, members of the capital campaign cabinet, and other Ursuline supporters.

 Ursuline Announces Facing the Future Campaign 4/18/2008 At the President's Circle Dinner 2008, Sr. Margaret Ann Moser and Dr. John McConnell announced the launch of the public phase of The Facing the Future Capital Campaign and total gifts and pledges of $23.1 million as of April 2008.

 Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Awards $5 Million Grant to Ursuline 1/5/2006 The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Inc., has awarded a grant of $5 million to the Ursuline Academy of Dallas Foundation, Inc., for science, math, technology education and endowments as outlined in the Academy’s current strategic plan. The grant is the largest contribution ever received in the history of the Academy.
